About Edison

Letter to Edison

Dearest Edison,

Edison and Mommy

Looking at this picture, I realized that you’ve grown up a lot. You’ve also grown to be more independent and intelligent. I have so much to tell you today, but you may not understand them now. So, I’ll pen down my thoughts in this post. You’ll be able to read them when you grow older.

My dear son, I love being your mom. I like to kiss you when you are sleeping subconsciously. I know that you love me dearly too as you constantly express your love by hugging me.

Besides that, I can feel your love to everyone in the family. You love your daddy, grandparents and godpa. No matter how tired and sleepy you are, you’ll always kiss them goodbye before you leave the house.

You’re communicating with us more these days. Although you can’t talk yet, but you are able to tell us what you want, particularly when you want to go out for a walk or you want to eat something.

At 16 months, your development is simply amazing! You can walk forward and backwards, run, kick a ball and roll it, scribble on a paper, sort shapes and build a tower. You are an active little learner too. You love music and flash cards.

I hate to say this, but sometimes, due to our negligence, we allowed you to fall down. It is so heart-wrenching to see you cry. But you have always been a brave boy. You stand up on your own. You’re able to re-enact the incident to tell us how and where you fell.

Edison - CNY 2009

Last CNY, we did not do any visiting as you were still very young. This year, you made your grand appearance. You’re a lot more sociable now. You can interact with other children and have a fine time exploring and running around. You’re no longer afraid of strangers. In fact, your cheeky smile and a pair of enchanting eyes never fail to melt our hearts.

We are so excited to spend another Chinese New Year with you and we are looking forward to spend many more New Years with you.

My dear Edison, thank you for loving me as much as I love you. You are the most important person in my life. I love you so much, always and forever!

With Love,
Mommy

    Simply dazzling.

Edison’s mum managed to bring out the story of her past 16 months relationship with her son, with most honest and sincere writing.

A MUST-READ if you are new. A MUST-KNOW if you are equally caring towards Little Edison. A MUST-FEEL if you are also a mum of your dearest child. – Godpa, ardent follower of OurLittleSmarties.
