Mighty Saver’s Account

Mighty Saver

I always enjoy good conversation over lunch with my colleagues. We talk about our kids growing up, motherhood experiences, enrichment classes, issues with maid etc. Yesterday, we started a topic on saving money for our kids and the various available banking options.

Suddenly, I thought that I should open a savings account for little Edison. After the CNY, I can deposit all his ang pao money into his own savings account, rather than keeping them in my safe!

OCBC’s Mighty SaverTM Program is on my list now. It’s an interactive savings program that educates and motivates our children to save. Perhaps at 16 months, little Edison is too young to understand the concept of saving money. But as he grows older, he will join us on this fun money-saving adventure. He will definitely appreciate what we have done for him.

Being a Mighty Saver has its privilege too. We can enjoy special fast track service counters at any of the OCBC’s Sunday Banking branches on Sundays. It’s completely hassle-free! Furthermore, there is no monthly service charge.

There is a promotion going-on now. Read this:

“Open a child’s saving account with a minimum deposit of S$1,000 to receive a special Mighty Savers Plush Bag, a set of Mighty Savers Red Packets & Wristband. Promotion is valid till 9 Feb 2009.”

Cool!

I’m going to fill-up the application form tonight. Little Edison will be joining the Mighty Saver’s club real soon.
