Our New Cerato Forte

We collected our new Cerato Forte the day before Christmas. We bought it as our second car and I’ll be driving it to work and to send Little Edison to school in the morning.

When I first catch a glimpse of this car at the KIA’s showroom, I was amazed by how much improvement it has over the older KIAs. It doesn’t look like a regular Asian car at all. Its exterior is classy as well as sporty and oozes a good taste. Some even say that it bears the resemblance to the Civic Type R but I wasn’t sure. And later, when I learnt that the designer of this car is from Audi, I was surprised.

It feels like a featherweight when I drive this car because its power steering is extremely light. The steering wheel is nice to hold with a nice leather material around the wheel as well as in the center. Its speedometer is a true beauty that glows with a red background. The interior is well laid out and offers ample room for four people. In addition, it has a very spacious boot space too. Perfect for family outing and picnic.

Other interesting goodies include the 17-inch alloy wheels instead of 15-inch steel ones, a six-CD changer, tilt and telescopic adjustable steering, electronically-dimmed rear-view mirrors, climate control, rear parking sensors, iPod connectivity, full Bluetooth capability and even electronic stability control.

In terms of size, it is slightly bigger and longer than my husband’s Toyota Altis. I feel a little jittery every time I drive this Forte because of its size. I have to handle it with extra care.

This is our New KIA Cerato Forte, 1.6L SX model in Dark Cherry. Kia really offers good value at an outstanding price. We are glad to find this car for our family without breaking the bank.
