Jack’s Place Sumptuous New Zealand Feast

Jack’s Place has been my favourite restaurant for many years, since I came to Singapore 12 years ago. The ambiance is nice, the service is excellent and the food is great. I can always remember their signature white and green checkered table cloth and good food that have never changed over the years.

Jack’s Place Steak House started in 1966 and since then, it has gradually evolved to include several concept restaurants such as Seafood Harvest, Eatzi Gourmet, Brewbaker’s, Restaurant Hoshigaoka and Jack’s Place under the JP Pepperdine Group.

History aside now and I shall bring you over to their food. We were so thrilled to be invited by JP Pepperdine to try out their sumptuous New Zealand feast. It was such a treat for us to enjoy a fabulous dinner in a nice family restaurant like Jack’s.


I’m a big fan of salmon, so I ordered a Grilled Salmon Fillet topped with Kiwi crumb and served with salad and fries ($19.80). Salmon is a good source of Omega-3 fatty acids that are important for our brain and heart health. The sweet and tangy Kiwi crump proves to be a refreshing accompaniment to the grilled salmon.

V ordered a Kiwi Feast Combo – a combination of prawns, pacific dory fillet, breaded oyster, N.Z. lamb chop and N.Z. striploin steak, that is served with mashed potato and fruit salad ($45.00). This combo meal is huge and perfect for twin sharing. We highly recommend it because it is delicious and satisfying.

As for Little Edison, I ordered a Fish & Chip Kid’s Meal for him. His meal comes with a cup of orange juice and a scoop of ice-cream. He ate every morsels of it, until he was completely satisfied.

We also topped-up $4.80 for the Set Meal that includes Soup of the Day, Day’s Dessert and Coffee/ Tea. The cake is deliciously moist and sweet. We wrapped up our meal with a glass of refreshing fruit juice. Gulp!

With our bellies full and cravings satisfied, we left Jack’s Place with all smiles on our faces. We like to thank Evelyn (JP Pepperdine) and Jan (Restaurant Manager of Compass Point) for such a wonderful dinner, which not only pleases our bellies but our hearts as well.

Oh, the new shopping mall is now opened? Cool! Actually, Edison has been bugging me to go to Ipoh. I told him to wait till school holiday, but he kept asking when is the day. He said he likes Popo’s house. Haha. I will try to arrange this June holiday, will keep you all informed again. I wish to see Khloe too! She is such a cutie! Will get her some more hair bands, hehehe!
