Dove Sensitive Skin Body Wash Gives Your Skin the Mildest Care It Deserves

delicate as dandelion2

Whether you have sensitive skin or not, your skin is delicate. Every day, you’re exposed to environmental factors that can damage your skin. Just like a dandelion. So elegantly smooth and beautiful, but delicate. Just one blow, they all fly away.

Besides external factors, internal factors like hormonal changes, ageing, personal habits, diet and lifestyle can also affect our skin. Thus, nourishing and protecting our skin with the right product is very important.

I’m fairly open to trying new products when it comes to facial skincare, but I tend to stick with the same products in terms of body care. Reason is – I have sensitive skin. Working in an air-conditioned office all day makes my skin feeling dry and tight.

Therefore, I’m paying a bit more attention to the skin on my body to ensure that it will look its best as I switch from office long pants to shorts with bare legs on the weekends.

This review is in partnership with Dove – a brand that I’ve been consistently using for the past 20 years (yeah, it’s that long!). At times, I may be curious to try out a new brand, but eventually, I still go back to Dove because it never disappoints me.

Dove’s unflinching commitment to offer mildness to skin continually amazes me. Among all the Dove body washes, Dove Sensitive Skin Body Wash is my top favourite. Now, there’s no reason for your sensitive skin to complain and sulk anymore. Let’s read my review below and find out how you can achieve gorgeous skin for all seasons with Dove Sensitive Skin Body Wash.

My Review:

Dove 1

Dove Sensitive Skin Body Wash has a creamy texture, similar to the consistency of other Dove body washes. In the shower, it gives a lotion-like consistency that turns into a luxurious lather that hugs every curve and contour of my body.

When watered down, it rinses cleanly without leaving any oily residue on my skin. It doesn’t dry out my skin. What’s more, it has a subtle fragrance that leaves me nicely relaxed after each shower.

This was how my skin on the thigh area looked like when I came back from my vacation in Korea two months ago. It was very dry and flaky, as a result of the weather and hotel bath soap that is too harsh for my skin.

BeforeBefore using Dove Sensitive Skin Body Wash

After using Dove Sensitive Skin Body Wash for just one week, there’s a significant improvement on my skin texture. My skin looks more nourished and moisturized now.

AfterOne week after using Dove Sensitive Skin Body Wash

Once again, Dove proves that it’s the perfect body wash for me. It’s the only skin cleansing brand that keeps my skin healthy and beautiful year after year.

Because it’s so mild, it’s suitable for everyone in my family. Edison absolutely loves showering with Dove Sensitive Skin Body Wash too. I’m happy when he gets a soft, glowing, baby-like and healthy skin after each shower.

To further demonstrate to you the power of mildness, I conducted a simple experiment using two similar feathers. I washed each of them using Dove Sensitive Skin Body Wash and a regular body wash in a gentle scrubbing motion. Then, I rinsed them with water, and dried them with a blow dryer on a low setting.

Here’s the outcome:

Feather Experiment 2

The feather washed with Dove Sensitive Skin Body Wash (A) is still soft, fluffy and retains its original shape and size. The other feather washed with a regular body wash (B) has shrunk and lost its shape as multiple strands have fell off. It doesn’t feel smooth to touch.

Our skin is just like the feather. Harsh formulations can dry and irritate our skin; triggering sensitivity, flakiness and even allergic reactions. As we can see in Feather B, it has lost its shape and softness.

On the other hand, Dove Sensitive Skin Body Wash is so mild and designed to protect and nourish our skin. It also preserves a healthy skin barrier. As proved in my experiment, Feather A is still soft and fluffy as before.

Therefore, Dove Sensitive Skin Body Wash is not just a regular body wash. It’s a philosophy to constantly treating our skin with mildness.

My Verdict:

Most body washes contain soap (surfactant) that can strip the skin of its nutrients and moisture during cleaning, thus causing sensitivity and redness. Dove Body Wash is soap-free and it has the mildest formulation that works with childlike softness on your skin.

Dove also understands the needs and complexities of sensitive skin, and perhaps that’s the reason for Dove Sensitive Skin Body Wash. Its unique formula, NutriumMoisture, replenishes nutrients that are lost. Hypoallergenic, soap-free and clinically tested, it goes beyond cleansing and moisturizing to preserve a healthy skin barrier.

This body wash is suitable for everyone, but it’s especially useful to improve the condition of dry, flaking or scaling skin. If you’ve been troubled with these conditions that won’t go away no matter what you do, I will highly recommend Dove Sensitive Skin Body Wash to you.

Even if you’ve normal skin types, I’d recommend you to experience the benefits of NutriumMoisture. Let’s bring a touch of richness to your shower routine today, and you’ll feel a softer and smoother skin after just one shower.
