Looking beautiful may just be a mouse-click away when we order our cosmetics and skincare products online. They are generally cheaper in price because the ‘product marketing’ costs are not passed down to the consumers. Quick, easy and lower prices – they are the distinct advantages of online shopping.

If I wish to buy any new cosmetics or skincare products, I will try them at the cosmetics counters in departmental stores and make my first purchase there. When I need to replenish my stocks, I’ll definitely buy them online since the prices are so much cheaper.

I get to know Beauty N Scent, an online retailer of designer perfumes, skincare and cosmetics, from the SingaporeMotherhood (SMH) forum. Their products are 100% genuine and they are purchased from local registered distributors. The prices are lower than departmental stores due to bulk buying and lower overhead costs.

I purchase most of my Kose and SK-II skincare products from Beauty N Scent. For instance, a 120ml of SK-II facial treatment cleanser is sold at just $55.50, as compared to $74.00 over the counters (we save $18.50!). I have the SK-II Crystal Club membership and I used to be crazy about earning points when I purchase the products from the counters. Soon, I realized that it’s even more worthwhile to have the dollar savings when I shop online. I pay lesser and I save the money, instead of points.

I’m now a regular customer of Beauty N Scent, and I must say that I’m really impressed by their prompt service. They provide free delivery for purchases above $150, otherwise a flat-rate of $4 will be charged. I usually receive my orders within 1 to 2 working days after payment is made. I really appreciate their thoughtfulness of giving away a free miniature perfume every time I make an order.

If you are concerned about the manufacturing dates of the products, you can check with them before ordering. I check the manufacturing dates every time I receive my orders. They are all within one year from the date of manufacture. Most of the international brands report the date of manufacture or expiration on their products. Thus, it is very easy to check.

Let’s check out Beauty N Scent now!

On top of my shopping list now is face masks. Assorted brands.

I received another package from Sunnanz last night. I ordered a new type of face mask – it’s called faceQ mask. The packaging is super cute.

I’m utterly obsessed with these masks now. I can’t stop thinking about them. My drawers are now full with face masks.

I have to stop buying for a while. Seriously.

Children’s clothing is every mother’s favorite thing to buy. I admit – as soon as I found out the gender of Little Edison during my ultrasound scan, I immediately bought some cute little blue and white outfits for him. I can never resist buying these stylish clothes in oh-so-cute small sizes.

There is a multitude of children’s clothing in the market. As a parent, what quality do you usually look out for when you are shopping for clothes for your little ones? Is it the price, material, durability, design, the brand or something else? Most of the time, I will choose cotton clothing mainly because it is soft and comfortable. My priorities will be the material, comfort level, design and finally the price.

One of the brands that I particularly adore is Gymboree. It is a pity that it is not available in Singapore. I buy them from oversea sprees in the forum. I like Gymboree clothings because of its fun mix and match sets. Basically, the clothings are launched in different themes (or collections). Items from the same collection are coordinated from head to toe to make an adorable outfit. We can get the little pieces like socks, rompers, pants and sweaters to match certain clothings easily.

When we make purchase at a certain designated time, we can earn Gymbucks based on how much we spend. We can use these Gymbucks during the redemption period to buy items at half-price. The shipping has been reasonably fast so far.

These are some of the items I picked up for Little Edison recently. Seriously, if I have a girl, I will be even crazier about Gymboree. Look at their pink tops, dresses and accessories! I’m so in love with them!

This is another blog entry about online shopping. I’m having so much fun with online shopping recently. For busy mothers like us, shopping away with a click of a mouse is often much more attractive than going out to the mall with our toddlers in tow.

I get very excited when I open my mailbox and see a little crumpled package waiting for me to collect. It’s that sudden feeling of anticipation and excitement when I grab it, run upstairs, tear the wrapper apart and discover the contents in it. That’s what online shopping does for me!

I talked about the famous My Beauty Diary masks last week. I found a local online store that sells these masks at very competitive prices. It is Sunnanz, owned by Shiwei and Christina. Their products are imported from Taiwan and Korea. In addition to My Beauty Diary (MBD) masks, Korean skincare products, cosmetics, slimming products and bags are also available at Sunnanz.

We can pre-order overseas retail products and have them delivered to our home using Sunnanz delivery service. For ready-stocks, the products will be mailed out daily with free normal postage. Much to my surprise, they can even arrange meet-up at Pasir Ris MRT which I think is very good for bulky or delicate products.

I ordered 20pcs of MBD masks from Sunnanz last week, and I received them within the next two days. I was amazed by the neat packaging when I received the package. The masks were wrapped in bubble wraps and packed in a thick large envelope for extra protection.

Sunnanz – it’s really my right choice!

I’ve seen a lot of online sprees selling MBD masks. Please beware of imitations. This writer has a very good write-up about the comparison between authentic and imitation MBD masks. Click HERE to find out.

I made a mistake for shopping with Daddy V in Toys “R” Us last month. I ended up so frustrated that I felt like screaming. For every item that I wanted to buy, he gave me 101 reasons why I should not buy it. Waste money, expensive, wait for the sale, no discount, blah blah blah. Arghh, he is such a nag!

Despite my grumbling, I had no one else to blame for that wasted trip other than myself. I wanted so much to buy something for Little Edison, but at the end, I failed terribly.

Recently, I found my best friend on the internet. He is Lamkins – a local online store that sells toys from well-known brands such as Vtech, Fisher Price, Thomas & Friends and Leapfrog. They offer a wide range of educational products, fun toys and baby gears too. My favorite perk is that Lamkins provides free delivery for orders above $60 (for orders below $60, a minimal fee of $5 will be charged). Very reasonable.

I can view the various products with the flick of a finger; buy them in a matter of minutes and most importantly – without the nagging from Daddy V. The products will be delivered to my doorstep within 1 to 3 days. Payment can be made via credit card, internet transfer or simply cash-on-delivery. Ultimate convenience, I call it.

Lamkins really provides good service and prompt delivery. Do check them out, mommies!

This is Little Edison – getting all excited over his new Vtech Dora Laptop from Lamkins.
