Cruise – Day One

We boarded the SuperStar Virgo for our 4D3N cruise vacation to Penang – Phuket on Sunday afternoon. In my mind, it was all about gourmet meals, impeccable service onboard, entertainment, exciting shore excursions and breathtaking sceneries all-in-one!

A soon as we checked-in, we were given an Access Card each. The Access Card serves as a boarding pass, cabin key as well as charge card for shopping and ordering food and drinks onboard. The crew kept our passports as we board the cruise.

We boarded the cruise and got to our cabin without much hassle. Our cabin is an oceanview stateroom with window located at Deck 8. The size of the cabin is about the same as a Deluxe Room in First World Hotel, Genting Highlands. It is small, but rather cosy for us.

The cruise sailed from Singapore at 4pm sharp. We unpacked our luggage; Little Edison was fascinated at the view of the big ocean from the cabin window.

Star Navigator is the daily bulletin, providing us with information on the entertainment, daily activities, meals onboard etc. Six meals were provided daily free-of-charge from three inclusive restaurants – Bella Vista (Western), The Pavilion (Chinese) and Mediterranean (International Buffet). The six meals are early breakfast (6-8am), breakfast (8-10am), lunch (12-2pm), afternoon tea (3-5pm), dinner (6-8pm) and supper (10pm – midnight). There are also alternative restaurants at moderate charges.

Will blog on our Day Two activities and shore excursion to Penang tomorrow. Please stay tuned!
