Changi Airport

May 25, 2010February 26, 2011

Changi Airport is one of our favorite hang-out places with its unique spread of shops, cafes, restaurants and facilities.

When we visited Terminal 3 last weekend, we saw the GOgreen event at the Departure Hall Check-in Hall, Row 1. Visitors can enjoy fun rides on The Segway, a two-wheeled and self-balancing personal transportation device at T3 now. Each ride costs only $10 for three rounds in the circuit. However, Little Edison is too young to try. Riders must be at least 1m tall. We took a few pictures at the event.

As we walked further, we stumbled upon this beauty at the airport. Little Edison immediately poses for a picture with her. It’s a Volvo XC60 in Terra Bronze Metallic! Now, you stand a chance to win this SUV when you accumulate Changi Rewards points. All you need to do is to apply for the Changi Rewards card, which is free, and earn points when you spend at Changi Airport’s retail and food & beverages outlet.

The points can also be converted into Changi Airport dollar vouchers. I’m more interested in the Volvo XC60, so I applied for my Changi Rewards card at the counter. You can apply for this card at the counter (Terminal 3, Departure Check-in Hall, Row 11) or simply through Changi Rewards website.

We took the Sky Train to Terminal 2 to visit the Changi Aviation Gallery. Admission to this gallery is free and it provides interesting insights into the airport’s ground operations. Little Edison is amazed with the various hands-on interactive displays at the gallery.

We had our dinner at McDonald’s. As usual, Little Edison asked for a Happy Meal and he gets it every time. The friendly staff at McDonald’s gave him two balloons; he was so over the moon!

Oh, before I forget, let me tell you about the playgrounds. All the three terminals have children’s playground, suitable for kids aged from 1 to 12. Remember to drop-by these play areas for some moments of fun for the kids. Children – they can never get bored of playgrounds.

Changi Aiport is really a wonderful place to visit especially for the children. It is so big, modern, comfortable and clean. The service is impeccable and it’s a great get-away from the hustle and bustle of the city too!

Hi Emily,
Saw your article…
Say, did you hear any results of the Volvo draw at Changi? I have been looking forward to this, but did not hear any news anymore.

Thanks.
