Everyday Things

Back to School

June 28, 2010

After a month of holiday, it’s back-to-school time again. School buses are back on the roads, and I see students walk to school in their uniforms.

I woke up extra early today because I anticipated that it may be difficult to wake up our little boy to school. I took a shower, had my breakfast, dressed-up myself and packed up by 7am. Then, I sneaked into our bedroom and Little Edison was still sound asleep. Indeed, it was a challenge to wake him up.

It took me 15 minutes to get him up from bed. Then, he fussed for a short while before he drank his milk and changed into his uniforms.

We were ready to leave the house at 7:40am.

The weather was perfect this morning. No more heavy rains like last week. The traffic was smooth and we reached school at 8am sharp.

As we walked to the classroom, I assured him that his grandparents will pick him up after school and he will enjoy himself at school today. Fortunately, he is enthusiastic about going to school again.

No more “back-to-school” blues! Yay!

Hi Emily,

Glad that Edison is happy to be back in school again after the month long school holidays 🙂

My kiddos were glad to be back in school too despite the unpredictable weather .. hot and sunny one minute and raining cats and dogs the next minute and I was glad to be able to have a bit of ME TIME while all 3 of them while at school ..

Hi Flower Mummy,
Yes, it’s good to be back in school. While Edison is at school, my MIL is free in the morning. She can go for her regular exercise and sometimes going to the market. My helper can do some houseworks in the morning. You can go out for shopping too, yeah.. it’s GSS now! 🙂
