The Singapore Flyer

September 13, 2010January 30, 2019

It was a long weekend due to the Hari Raya holiday. We decided to bring Little Edison to visit the Singapore Flyer.

Every time when we travel along KPE and exit at Nicole Highway, Little Edison will jump with joy when he catches a glimpse of this giant observation wheel. It’s one of the places in Singapore that offers breathtaking day views, as well as glittering night views. I promised him that I’ll bring him for a ride at the Singapore Flyer, and I’m glad that I can finally do it.

It was actually my second visit to the Singapore Flyer. I went there two years ago with my parents, sister and brother-in-law when they came to Singapore. But at that time, I didn’t bring Little Edison along as he was too young.

I can still remember when I booked my tickets online two years ago, I had to select the time and date of the flight. However, the system is different now. I only need to choose the date and I can turn-up anytime during the operating hours of the Singapore Flyer. Definitely, this is a better system as we don’t have to rush or worry that we’ll miss the flight due to unforeseen circumstances.

Little Edison enjoyed the view from the top so much. I pointed to him some of Singapore’s iconic and historical landmarks during the flight such as the Padang, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore River, Merlion Park and Esplanade.

Here are some of the pictures taken at the Singapore Flyer.

It was a wonderful experience. Initially, I was worried that Little Edison may be scared of heights and he will cling on to me throughout the half an hour. Luckily, he was not terrified of heights at all! He really enjoyed himself so much.
