Staycation at Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa (Part 1)

July 1, 2013January 30, 2019

Two weeks ago, I shared with you that we’ve cancelled our staycation at Sentosa due to the haze. We were glad that the hotel allowed us to do a last-minute cancellation as the haze has reached the hazardous level.

Little Edison has been very understanding, and he didn’t make a big fuss even though he has been looking forward to the stay at Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa. So, when the haze has subsided last week, I quickly rebooked our staycation.

I only broke the news to him on the very day that we were checking in. So, you can imagine his excitement when I said, “Boy, let’s pack up! We’re going to Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa today!”

We got to the hotel pretty speedily, got our car parked and the check-in process was swift. We booked the Deluxe Pool View Room located on the 5th floor.

This is definitely one of the best hotels that we’ve ever stayed!

The room is very spacious, and the size is at 36 sqm. It has a private balcony offering a complete view of the resort’s pools and tropical greenery.

The room has a king-sized bed, an additional sofa bed for Edison, 40-inch LCD television, standing shower as well as bathtub.

The open concept bathroom is pretty cool for couples, but maybe ‘not so cool’ for the parents. The boy said, “Mama, I can see you pee-ing from here!” And I quickly ran to roll down the blind.
