Many of us hate grocery shopping. Queuing for parking, dealing with the crowds, dodging shopping carts, waiting in long lines at check-out – they’re all annoying and make us want to avoid the supermarket altogether. Plus, if you have kids in tow, the hassles are tripled.
Thankfully, we live in the era of online shopping, and we can have groceries delivered to us instead of having to go get them. Recently, I started shopping for my groceries online with PurelyFresh and I was completely amazed with their product delivery, quality, freshness, and customized service. The overall shopping experience with PurelyFresh is fuss-free, fast and easy!
As an introduction, PurelyFresh owns four wet markets in Singapore, and they have been in this industry for more than 10 years. Hence, all the fresh products are supplied straight from the wet market – which is why freshness is guaranteed! They also provide customized orders for fish, pork, chicken and meat (I’ll elaborate more on this later!).
1. PurelyFresh is a one-stop shop offering an extensive selection of fresh produce, cooking condiments, household products and beverages.
I’ve tried online grocery shopping a few times, but it’s limited to dried goods and household products. When I heard that I can purchase fresh products such as vegetables, fruits, meat, seafood and even yong tau foo on PurelyFresh, I was jumping with joy.
I enjoy cooking for my family on weekends. However, the thought of having to wake-up early to go to the wet market often turned me off. Now, I can easily purchase them online and it really saves me a lot of time and hassle.
Here’s a peek at what you can find at PurelyFresh:
And here are some of the items we ordered last weekend:
All the meat and seafood are neatly packed in styrofoam containers and chilled, while the vegetables are packed in clear plastic bags. All the fresh products were not smashed and delivered to us in perfect condition (freshness guaranteed!). We’re very satisfied with our purchase.
2. PurelyFresh offers free delivery above $60, order customization and full money-back guarantee for any products you find unsatisfactory.
Initially, V was a bit hesitant as he’s the type of consumer who always has an eye for quality and likes to pick his fresh products carefully. After all, if he can’t choose, how can he guarantee the freshness of the products?
I assured him that PurelyFresh is a veteran in this industry, and the fresh products are delivered straight from the wet market with stringent quality checks and chilled transportation to ensure that all orders will be delivered fresh. In fact, they are so confident that they offer full refund for any products that you find unsatisfactory with no questions asked.
PurelyFresh offers free delivery for orders above $60 for a limited period only. Even if you can’t hit $60, the delivery fee is charged reasonably at $6. With just a few clicks, the highly-trained staff at PurelyFresh will handpick the freshest groceries and deliver them to your doorstep.
If you order before 3am, you can enjoy same-day delivery. If you order before 12 midnight, your order will be delivered the next day. PurelyFresh offers daily delivery (including Public Holidays), 10am all the way till 12 midnight, with seven convenient 2-hour time-slots to choose from.
One thing that I particularly like about PurelyFresh is their order customization service for fish, pork, chicken and meat. For instance, if you’d like to have your fresh fish sliced, your fresh pork minced and your chicken de-boned, simply add them in the comment section and they will prepare them especially for you at no extra charge! It’s really a great help for busy mothers like us.
3. PurelyFresh website is very easy to navigate with items clearly organized into instinctive categories.
Just as how products in a conventional supermarket are shelved into sections, the items on PurelyFresh’s website are clearly organized into instinctive categories. Each category is further broken down into sub-categories so I don’t have to scroll down the entire page to search for an item.
All my previous orders are recorded in my account. With just a few clicks, I can be on my way to restocking the kitchen without scouring several sections of the website. It’s truly a time-saver, especially if you routinely buy the same products.
Here are some simple and delicious home-cooked healthy meals we cooked last weekend using the fresh products that we ordered from PurelyFresh.
Here’s sharing a simple recipe for our favourite Sweet and Sour Prawns:

1.5 tbsp sugar
0.5 tsp salt
3 tbsp water
Some spring onion sections and coriander leaves
- Stir-fry Ingredients B with oil till fragrant.
- Add in Ingredients C, stir well and bring to boil.
- Add in prawns and stir-fry for a while. Serve.
