Festive Buffet at Atrium Restaurant, Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium

What I love most about Christmas is being able to enjoy a sumptuous festive buffet with my loved ones. I feel fortunate to live in Singapore – a food paradise, where there’s no lack of festive season dining.

This year, I started my festive dining at one of the most drool-worthy Christmas buffets in town. Atrium Restaurant in the centrally-located Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium offers a delicious line-up of festive menu that is totally calorie-worthy!

This was my first visit to Atrium Restaurant, and I really like its ambience. I understand that the restaurant had a revamp last year, and now it looks brighter, modern and clean.

Led by Executive Chef Chua Yew Hock and his team of master chefs, diners can look forward a stellar spread of festive dishes such as fresh seafood on ice, including Alaskan king crab, oysters, and scallops, before heading to the live cooking station for some Pan-seared Lobster with Tomato Stew and Onion Espuma made à la minute.

We started our meal with Cream of Spring Bay Black Mussel with Fennel. Its rich and creamy taste is the perfect start to warm my tummy. Spoiling my taste buds next were Pan-Seared Lobster with Tomato Stew and Onion Espuma, and Roast Rack of Lamb with Apricot and Thyme Jus.

Truth be told, I’m generally not a fan of lamb. But surprisingly, I was delighted at my very first bite to discover the tenderness of the lamb ribs that was fine-tuned and perfectly-roasted. The taste of the lamb was well-balanced. I’ve a word with the chef, complimenting him on this dish and he even shared with me that he used his secret ingredient which is apricot to balance and enhance the taste of the lamb.

The pan-seared lobster was an excellent choice to satisfy my seafood indulgence. This dish certainly lived up to my expectations. To further compliment it, I’ve decided to take a picture of Chef Jeffery Chong, which he has kindly obliged.

After indulging in these festive dishes, we head on to the buffet line. My buffet feast started with the hot and spicy chilli crayfish. This dish is best paired with fried buns. Dipping the buns in the addictive spicy and sour sauce, I savoured every single bite of them.

The fresh seafood on ice was a total delight! We were so impressed with the fresh prawns, mussels, crabs, sashimi, scallops, oysters, sushi and many more!

After filling our tummies with the festive dishes and buffet highlights, we moved on to savour the rest of the buffet spread such as laksa, popiah, curry chicken, salad, assorted Chinese and Western food.

We saved the last 10% of our tummies for desserts. Who could resist a yummy Christmas log cake and a wide spread of desserts from chocolates to cakes, yogurts, fruits, Ice Kacang, Nyonya Kueh, ice-cream and many more!

Dessert

Atrium Restaurant is the best place to soak in the festive season’s ambience. Impeccable service and delicious food, it’s a totally delightful festive buffet that I’d like to recommend to you.

Festive buffet at Atrium Restaurant begins on 12 Dec 2015. Buffet lunch starts from $35++ per pax, and buffet dinner from $58++ per pax. 50% for kids between 6 and 12 years of age.
