Sulwhasoo Radiance Energy Mask Review

Sulwhasoo Radiance Energy Mask

Sulwhasoo is a Korean luxury beauty brand with a holistic approach to skincare that is inspired by ancient Korean herbal medicine such as ginseng, Solomon’s Seal and Chinese Peony. Launched in Apr 2016, Sulwhasoo Radiance Energy Mask is a sleeping mask formulated with White Jade’s miraculous energy, aims to create clear and smooth flawless skin.

I’ve been wanting to try out Sulwhasoo skincare for a long time. The opportunity came during my Korea vacation two months ago, and I bought a couple of products from Incheon Airport. Besides the Radiance Energy Mask, I also bought their best-seller First Care Activating Serum, Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Cream, Snowise EX Whitening Serum, Snowise EX Whitening Water and Cleansing Form.

Among all of them, Radiance Energy Mask is my top favourite.

Sulwhasoo Radiance Energy Mask Review

Product Claims: A restorative sleeping mask that infuses the skin with purifying energy of Jade, that helps to nourish damaged skin while removing impurities, to reveal smoother, more translucent skin by morning.

Key Ingredients: Precious White Jade, the rarest form of Jade that is known in traditional medical literature for its skin-purifying effects, health benefits, and as a symbol of noble beauty.

How to Use: Apply a moderate layer evenly on clean face as the final step of night time skincare ritual. Leave on during sleep and rinse off in the morning.

Packaging: A sturdy plastic jar in white and green. Comes with a beautiful jade-designed spatula to scoop the product out with. In general, I just love how Sulwhasoo products are presented – so elegant, classic and traditional at the same time.

Price: US$62 for 80ml (price at Incheon Airport)

My Impressions: The mask is white and creamy with consistency thicker than a regular moisturizer. The smell is divine – not the typical Korean ginseng smell in other Sulwhasoo products, but it’s more like blended scent of mixed herbs. I really love the gentle uplifting scent that’s perfect for a sleeping mask.  The mask is soft and spread very easily. I use a penny size for my entire face (twice a week). It isn’t heavy nor oily, and it’s absorbs readily into my skin.

I can see real results the next morning after I wash my face. In addition to the extra moisture boost, my skin is plump, soft and radiant. The results are so good that I’m tempted to use it every night!

After a month of using the mask consistently twice a week, my overall complexion appears more radiant, clearer, softer, and well-hydrated.

My Verdict: Compared to other sleeping masks, Sulwhasoo Radiance Energy Mask is a clear winner. It’s definitely my favourite! This mask certainly works and delivers its promises of clear and smooth flawless skin. I’d highly recommend it. Especially for busy woman who wants to ‘cheat’ two hours of sleep but still looks radiant, Sulwhasoo Radiance Energy Mask is your saviour.

HI Emily,

Is it ok to use it every day?

Hi Jess,
This sleeping mask is quite rich. I only use twice a week. The beauty consultant told me to use once a week actually. So, I don’t think it’s advisable to use daily.
