LEGOLAND Malaysia Halloween Brick-or-Treat is an annual spooktacular family-friendly Halloween event that takes place from 6 to 29 October 2017. Guests can dress in costume, collect goodies at “brick-or-treat” hut, or participate in the After Dark party and costume contest. Or they can simply enjoy the fun rides and attractions that LEGOLAND has to offer!
When I broke the good news to Edison that we’ll be heading to LEGOLAND for the Halloween event, his face lit up as his eyes widened. He was on cloud nine because this was his first time attending a Halloween event, and it’s happening at his favourite theme park, LEGOLAND. Obviously, he was also more than thrilled to break away from SA2 revision LOL.
What to Expect at LEGOLAND Malaysia Brick-or-Treat
Here are some of the featured activities at this year’s Brick-or-Treat that you can look forward to:
Pick up your Brick-or-Treat Show Guide from the first hut (near the entrance). Collect your first Halloween stamp here and proceed to the next 4 activity huts. Once you’ve collected all the 5 stamps, you can head to the redemption hut at LEGO Kingdom zone to redeem your mystery gift. There are different activities at each hut, for instance Scream-oo-Meter, Learn-A-Spell, etc.
Spook-Tacular Costume Contest
It wouldn’t be Halloween without a costume contest, right? You’ll be thrilled to know that –
Kids aged, 3 – 11 years old, dressed in full Halloween costumes can enter the park for FREE! *
The costume contest is held during the Brick-or-Treat Carnival Celebration at LEGO Kingdom Castle Area from 7 to 7:30pm. Looking at the contestants all dressed in fancy Halloween costumes, my mind was whirling with excitement. Seriously, these kids are so awesome! Last Saturday’s winner was the boy dressed in Chinese vampire costume LOL. Congrats on his well-deserved win!
The parade starts from 7:45pm shortly after the costume contest. Starting from LEGO Kingdom Castle Area, performers dressed in Halloween costume stormed the streets of the park and paraded to the entrance for the After Dark Party along with the guests.
After Dark Party
Brick-or-Treat Carnival celebration is held on 13/14 October and 20/21 October with extended park hours till 8pm. Giggling and squealing with delight, everyone danced along with the performers on stage. It was so much FUN even though we were soaking in perspiration!
Halloween Power Dance Tutorial (Weekdays) & Ghost-Busters Dance (Weekends)
Happening daily in the morning, you can learn some fun dancing moves from the spooky, kooky Halloween-themed LEGO characters.

NEW at LEGOLAND
I love LEGOLAND because it’s constantly expanding and adding new rides and features. In this trip, we had so much fun at their latest attraction – NINJAGO. We loved the LEGO NINJAGO 4D ride. With advanced sensor technology, we use hand gestures instead of physical devices to control our actions in battling through ice, wind and water with NINJA characters.
I highly recommend this new interactive family ride. Best of all, it’s fully-airconditioned. Hah! Want to steal some aircon time and away from the scorching sun? Head to NINJAGO World!
Launching this November, the Great LEGO Race will give its riders the wildest virtual reality roller coaster ride. Wearing VR headsets, riders will experience the action from every direction – up, down, forward, backward and all points in between – in a spectacular environment completely made of LEGO bricks. Oh, this is so exciting! I can’t wait!
In addition, SEA LIFE will be launched in 2018. You probably see its construction now in front of the theme park’s main entrance. Want to be the first to know about its opening? You can subscribe to LEGOLAND’s newsletter.
This trip, we stayed in a Premium Adventure Themed Room. For every kid (even for adults!), staying in a LEGO themed room in LEGOLAND Hotel is an unforgettable experience. Therefore, as I’ve always said, you should at least stay here once to experience a FULL LEGOLAND experience.
The moment I unlocked the door, Edison marched into the room in high spirits. He loves everything in the themed room, from the bunk bed to the treasure box and LEGO toys. I love its spaciousness, the room can accommodate up to 5 pax with a king-sized bed, a bunk bed and a trundle bed. There’s a sliding door that separates the kids and adult sleeping areas, thus providing the much-needed privacy for both parties. Yeah, kids need privacy too LOL.
💡 OurLittleSmarties Tip: Consider ending your night at the LEGOLAND Hotel for an unforgettable LEGO immersion. Now, you can request for early check-in as early as 7am and late check-out at 5pm with a minimal fee – subject to availability.
