Seasonal Tastes is the main dining restaurant at The Westin Hotel Singapore. Located on the 32nd floor and surrounded by full-height glass windows, it offers a magnificent view of Singapore’s city skyline and the South China Sea. What’s more amazing is their Sunday Family Lunch, which is one of my favourite family feastings.
Seasonal Tastes has been offering its Sunday Family Lunch since Apr 2017. I got to know this restaurant last year during my company’s departmental lunch. Since then, I’ve been patronizing this wonderful restaurant. Family feasting just got better with this kid-friendly Sunday Family Lunch. I’ll tell you why. 😀
First of all, I’d like to apologize for the poor quality pictures in this post. Truth be told, I wasn’t intending to write this post since I haven’t been blogging about food for quite some time. Halfway through my meal, I suddenly sprang out of my chair and said, “This is SO good! Isn’t it a waste not to be shared?” Then, I went around snapping pictures – even though I wasn’t equipped with a proper camera at that time.
I’m sorry if my pictures didn’t justify the awesomeness of this place and its food. This was rather impromptu.
Sunday Family Lunch at Seasonal Tastes offers a perfect opportunity for families to spend quality time over a wholesome lunch buffet on Sundays. We’re totally in love with the kid-friendly buffet spread (specially catered for kids), along with various fun-filled activities to keep them occupied while the parents enjoy their meals.
Parents, tell me. How often you want to slowly enjoy your buffet, but your kids are getting impatient, and you wish you could find something to keep them occupied while you continue eating? If so, you would definitely love this place! 🙂
The spacious kids’ area has a mini buffet with colourful food items on low tables. Hence, younger kids can easily reach for their food. Kid-sized furniture and fun activities like cupcake decorating and colouring keep little hands busy, while mini aprons and chef hats help keep their clothes clean. Amazing, isn’t it? 😉
In addition, you’ll find all your kids’ favourites here – chicken sliders, mini sandwiches, potato wedges, egg salad, fruit skewers, brownies, muffins, cupcakes, gummies with marshmallows, milk and juices.
For the buffet spread, here’s what you can expect:
- A good selection of salads – great for those seeking a healthier option
- Chilled seafood section with lobsters, oysters, prawns, crayfish and even clams. Seafood lovers, are you drooling yet? LOL.
- Sushi and sashimi
- Cook to order pastas and noodles
- Live cooking stations, as well roasts and grilling stations
- Local favourites such as laksa, chicken rice, satay and prawn noodles
- A wide selection of cakes, puddings and tartlets, as well as nyonya kueh
- Fruits and ice-cream
Considering that the restaurant was quite full when we were here, it seems like a hot favourite for families looking for a deliciously relaxing way to recharge over the weekend and spend quality time together. Just looking at the gorgeous seascape out of the glass windows is extremely relaxing. I’d recommend that you reserve a table right next to that view, you may, like us, never want to leave this restaurant. LOL.
Our bill came up to S$136 for 2A+1C after discount (one child dines free). Personally, I find that it’s worth every penny for its quality spread of food, enjoyable family time we had, as well as the great view and ambience. We’ll definitely be back again!
