Pullman Bangkok King Power is one of the several luxury hotels under AccorHotels Group in Bangkok. The property is located next to duty-free giant King Power Rangnam Complex. Hence, you can expect a lot of perks if you stay in this hotel and shop at the complex. 😉 Additionally, it’s just 30 minutes away from Suvarnabhumi Airport – thus making it an ideal choice for travellers.
This was our second stay in a Pullman Hotel in Bangkok. In our last trip, we stayed at Pullman Bangkok Grande Sukhumvit which is located near the Asoke intersection that connects Asoke BTS Sky Train and MRT Sukhumvit underground station. Pullman Bangkok King Power is located at Rangnam Road, about 10 mins walk from Victory Monument BTS Sky Train.
Truthfully, we loved both hotels but if we had to choose, we would pick Pullman Bangkok King Power because of its better location (right next to King Power Complex) and complimentary tuk-tuk service to/from Victory Monument BTS until 11pm (even though it’s just a short walk away). The hotel staffs were all outstanding and made us feel at home. 😀
The hotel lobby of Pullman Bangkok King Power is very spacious with modern and elegant interior. You’ll definitely notice the bright and inviting lobby the moment you step into the hotel.
We booked 6 night’s stay in a Superior Room. Being a member of Le Club AccorHotels, we were given a free upgrade to Deluxe Room and we requested for a room with pool view. Of course, our wish was granted! As part of their “Just Stay, Shop & Shuttle” promotion, we were also given THB 3,000 cash shopping vouchers to be used at King Power Rangnam (THB 500 per room per night).
Additionally, for every THB 5,000 (net sales) spend at King Power Rangnam, guests will also receive a THB 1,000 cash back voucher to deduct from their expenses at the hotel upon check-out. Quite a good deal if you like to shop at the duty-free complex! 😍
After checking-in, we were shown up to our room on the 14th floor. The 32 sqm Deluxe Room has a beautiful hardwood floor (I always prefer wood flooring than carpet), 49” LED Smart TV, USB charging points, tea & coffee making facilities, and a bathroom with separated bathtub (complete with bath salts) and rain shower. I love the range of complimentary bath and skincare amenities from renowned New York apothecary C.O. Bigelow.
The hotel also offers one of the largest outdoor infinity pool in Bangkok, surrounded by a lush green tropical garden where guests can experience deep tranquility. The 27-metre infinity pool is surrounded by sundeck with an open-air Pool Bar that provides snacks, salads and sandwiches as well as desserts, ice-cream, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
And now, let’s talk about breakfast 🍽 – one of the most important aspects for a fulfilling hotel stays. During our 6 days at the hotel, we had enjoyable breakfast at Cuisine Unplugged – an all-day dining concept restaurant featuring an open kitchen with pizza, pasta, rotisserie, soup and noodle hot-pot, sushi counter, Chinese dim sum and pau, wide selection of salad, fruits, cereals and refreshing juice concoction. On top of that, there is also a unique bakery situated within the dining area that serves freshly-baked breads and croissants.
The breakfast spread is extensive with some new food items on daily rotation. We were glad to say that there was no food boredom for having breakfast at the same place for six consecutive mornings. One thing that is worth mentioning, Cuisine Unplugged has a huge capacity. Even though we came for breakfast at the peak hour, we got a table fairly quickly without the need to queue.
Cuisine Unplugged is also one of the most popular hotel buffet restaurants in Bangkok. We highly recommend their Seafood Dinner Buffet, which we loved very much too. It offers a large selection of premium seafood including Alaskan King Crab, French Fine de Claire oysters, Pacific oysters, brown crabs, spotted babylons, crayfish, rock lobsters, octopus complemented by the finest USA cuts of beef Asado steak as well as grilled New Zealand lamb racks, Australian Wagyu Beef, Australian Tomahawk and Kurobuta Pork (available until the end of Sept 2018). ‼ Don’t forget to book online to receive 30% off!
Pullman Bangkok King Power offers an extensive range of restaurants and bars for guests to indulge. Tenshino, the newest restaurant in the property, serves unique Japanese cuisine using the freshest ingredients imported directly from Japan and France, created by Executive Japanese Chef Yohei Okita from Tokyo. The Junction At Pullman is a popular co-working space in Bangkok for many business and leisure travellers. It serves morning pastries, healthy salads and wraps for lunch, as well as coffee and tea.
Glen Bar is the perfect place to relax after a busy day-out. Open daily from 18.00-01.00 hours, it features up to 2 live bands from Thursday to Saturday. Lastly, there is a Pool Bar which I’ve mentioned earlier in this post.
Victory Monument BTS Sky Train is just 5-10 minutes’ walk from the hotel for convenient transport throughout the city. If you’re lazy to walk, you can take the complimentary tuk-tuk service that goes from the hotel to Century Shopping Mall (next to Victory Monument BTS) and vice versa up to 11pm daily. We took the tuk-tuk service almost every day throughout our stay and we never had to wait. 😆 There was always one waiting for us. It’s painted in blue with words “King Power” on it, so it’s easy to differentiate from other tuk-tuks on the street.
You can also get your daily essentials from Century Shopping Mall next to it. As you already know by now, the hotel is connected to King Power Rangnam Complex. Thai Taste Hub in King Power Rangnam Complex has Thailand’s best street food assembled in one place.
Our stay at Pullman Bangkok King Power has been nothing short of perfect. In fact, we enjoyed our stay so much that we felt discouraged from heading out to the hot weather. Its close proximity to BTS Sky Train makes it super easy to get around the city.
Even though the hotel itself is amazing, their excellent service standards truly bring the experience to a much greater level. Everything from check-in to room service, cleanliness, concierge, meals and location exceeded our expectations. Very reasonably-priced too! If you’re planning a trip to Bangkok, I’d 💯 highly recommend Pullman Bangkok King Power to you.
