After weeks of procrastination, I’ve finally updated the look of my blog. Pretty, isn’t it? I love it to bits, and I hope you all do too!!! This is the very first time I use a green inspired theme (even though it’s not my favourite colour). It all started with this new header image. I found it tucked away in my external drive – one of the images I purchased from Creative Market but never use at all.
Suddenly, I had the urge to use it as my blog header. Green colour palette matches this image the most, hence the entire blog has been changed to green too. Then, I contemplated the accent colour – should I choose analogous colour for a harmonious feel, or should I use a complementary colour for a high constrast? At the end, I chose the former.
The overall green tone gives a relaxing vibe, and it’s kind of in line with what I want you to feel when you read my blog. I hope everything is pleasing to your eyes, and if you have any suggestions, please feel free to drop me a message in the comment section below.
If you’re wondering what theme I’m using now, it’s the PenNews Theme by PenciDesign – which is the same theme I used prior to this change. It has 150+ site demos that you can easily import into your blog. I don’t think I’ll ever need to purchase anymore theme. This theme alone allows me to change my blog in multiple ways I like.
For this current look, I’m using a combination of Travel Magazine and Hotel Multi-Purpose demos. It’s super easy to install and highly customizable too. I don’t even need to write any CSS codes! What’s best is – you can drag and drop any elements onto your blog using WPBakery Page Builder which is included in the theme with no extra cost.
As a matter of fact, I fixed this new look within a weekend in a turbo speed. And I’ll be making minor tweaks over the next few days to improve it. I’ll also delete some old posts that are no longer relevant now. Hopefully, I can restart my engine to resume blogging. Nowadays, words get stuck in my head and no matter how hard I attempt to push them out through my fingers, I still fail *cry*.
Before I go, here’s a walk down memory lane to see how my blog has changed for the past 8 years. Thanks to Wayback Machine for keeping copies of my blog over time. As you can see, my blog has a new look every year. Not bad huh?! 😉
